HOT ROD Magazine presents
POWER TOUR 2009
The Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour features thousands of the finest high-end vehicles in the world touring seven cities in eight days.
Each year the tour makes stops in different host cities — and this year, thanks in part to the success of homegrown event Somernites Cruise, the vehicles will stop at The Center for Rural Development on Thursday, June 11.
The tour will launch from Madison, Wis.., on June 6, stop in Racine, Wis.., South Bend, Ind., Detroit, Mich., and Dayton, Ohio, before stopping in Somerset. From Somerset, motorists will be on their way to the final tour destination, the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn., on Friday, June 12.
“The Center is extremely excited to be at the heart of an event that has the potential to bring up to 15,000 visitors into our community,” said Lonnie Lawson, President and CEO of The Center for Rural Development.
“We hope the positive impact this event will have on the local economy will lead to even more large-scale national events coming to Somerset and Pulaski County.” |
