Reservation Process
Reservations will only be accepted via the online order form found at www.centertech.com or by mailing or faxing the completed order form, along with payment or purchase order to: The Center for Rural Development, 2292 S. Hwy 27. Ste. 300, Somerset, KY 42501, Fax #: 606-677-6010. All forms of payment must be received two weeks prior to performance date.
E-mail confirmations will be sent regarding reservations. An invoice and FREE STUDY GUIDES will be mailed four to six weeks prior to performance to the teacher listed on the registration form.
ADMISSION: Admission is $4.00 per person for each performance. One complimentary teacher (supervisor) admission will be provided for every ten paid admissions. Teachers are responsible for making reservations for all adults attending with their group and including these in the total number attendees.
TICKETS: Tickets are not issued for School Time Theatre performances. Your reservation and advance payment will reserve the requested number of seats in the theatre.
INCREASING RESERVATIONS: Additional reservations are based on availability. If any group should exceed the number of seats it has reserved without advance notification, the additional seats are not guaranteed.
CANCELLATIONS: Please notify The Center Box Office IN WRITING NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED PERFORMANCE. After that date, schools are responsible for 100% of the reservation value. If your school system is closed due to inclement weather or extenuating circumstances, efforts will be made to reschedule your school for another show. If your school cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be issued. Refunds will not be made for any other reason. In fairness to others who may want to attend, THIS POLICY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. You will not be billed for any performance cancelled by School Time Theatre.
ACCOMMODATING DISABILITIES: The Center is accessible for individuals with disabilities. When you make your reservations, we request all information needed to accommodate individuals with disabilities and any access needs including but not limited to the number of students with hearing disabilities, mental disabilities, mobility disabilities, and visual disabilities.
ARRIVING BY BUS: Plan to arrive at the theatre at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the show. This policy was developed to ensure the safety of students, and to facilitate the seating of a large number of students.
ARRIVING BY CAR: Ample free parking is available in the lot next to the theatre. Groups are asked to ensure that all members of their party are present prior to being seated by an usher.
KERA CONNECTION: All programs are selected for the School Time Theatre events with two goals in mind - education and quality. Many are based on familiar children's literature or historic characters, emphasize positive values, or introduce students to unfamiliar art forms. In addition to the arts, attending live theatre has been shown to fulfill or enhance many goals of the average school curriculum. Note: KERA CONNECTION information is provided for each performance.
THEATRE POLICY: No food or drinks are permitted in The Center Theatre. The use of flash photography or any recording device is prohibited.
