SCHOOL TIME THEATRE

School Time Theatre, presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center for Rural Development, seeks to share the magic of the arts with elementary school children in Southern and Eastern Kentucky.

All School Time Theatre programs are selected with two goals in mind - education and quality. Many are based on familiar children's literature or historic characters, emphasize positive values, or introduce students to unfamiliar, but fascinating, art forms. In addition to the sheer enjoyment of the arts, attending live theater has been shown to fulfill or enhance many of the goals of the average school curriculum. KERA CONNECTION information is provided for each performance and free study guides are also included.

School Time Theatre performances are open only to school groups, not the general public (however, selected performances are also offered through our Children's Prime Time Theatre series).

Admission: $4.00 per person for each performance.
One complimentary teacher (supervisor) admission will be provided
for every ten paid admissions.
