1,400-plus elementary students experience Jack and the Beanstalk
|
Cast members of the classic fairy tale, “Jack & The Beanstalk,” answer questions from the audience at the conclusion of the School Time Theatre performance. Approximately 1,400 students from nine area schools attended the musical drama, the second of seven performances planned for the 2007-2008 season, at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset. Students came from Bell County Elementary School and Monticello Elementary School, both in Wayne County; Immanuel Christian Academy, Monticello; Salem Elementary School, Russell Springs; Somerset Christian Academy, Somerset; and four elementary schools in the Pulaski County School District – Burnside, Nancy, Oak Hill and Shopville – to see the title character, Jack, and other members of the cast bring the story to life. School Time Theatre is presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center. For more information on upcoming performances, contact the Center for Rural Development, School Time Theatre, at 606-677-6000 or visit the website at www.centertech.com. |
