Photo Caption 1: “The Velveteen Rabbit,” a timeless story about a young boy and his love for his favorite toy rabbit, was brought to life on stage at The Center for Rural Development in March during two School Time Theatre performances and an evening performance of Children’s Prime Time Theatre series. In this final scene, the boy learns the toy rabbit his nanny tossed away after he recovered from Scarlet Fever is “real” after all, thanks to some storybook magic. The play concluded the 2009-10 performance arts season of children’s programs presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center.
