Established in 1996 through the vision of U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers, (KY-05), and other leaders, The Center for Rural Development is fueled by a mission to provide, promote, and support sustainable community and economic development solutions throughout rural Kentucky.

This mission is at the heart of Your Center of Learning, which unites The Center's array of current and future training, learning, and education solutions. These offerings provide individuals, businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs the skills they need to positively impact the economy of their region, state, and ultimately, the nation.
